By special invitation, we are participating again in The St Patty's Day Parade - San Diego-Balboa Park - between 5th and 6th Ave, March 13th, 2010, Saturday. This year's theme: 30 years Community Unity w/Special Thanks to Veterans & Military. Parade steps off at 11AM Sharp.

Westies, their owners and rescue walkers are to register via email, commit to time, date and wearing theme attire. All are ask to be at the staging area (To Be Determined within 4 days of the event via Parade Officials) by 9:30am to assure parking availability. We need Westies and their owners for parade participants.

Westies participating need to be well behaved and socialized, leash trained (no extendo leads), good temperament, able to adapt to noisy crowds and can walk several blocks of morning parade route. We have Westies (Seniors) who are pulled in wagons (Senior owners in wagons optional...ha!), there are pauses along the parade route, but primarily our group should expect to march (okay....stroll) the parade route.

Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, if you own a Westie COME AND JOIN US!!! There are Scottish bands, food and libations afterwards. Ever wonder what's under those kilts? Join us and find out! Participating in the fun and outrageous AMERICA'S PET EXPO - Orange County Fair Grounds, Costa Mesa, CA to be held April 16 - 18, 2010. LOCATION: Building 12, BOOTH 1255. Boutique with Westie related items, ZIPPER, the 2010 Westie Calendar Cover dog.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Thursday, April 15th, 1:00pm - finish - Set Up Booth, Friday, April 16th Booth Volunteer Coverage Hours - 10:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday, April 17th Booth Volunteer Coverage Horus - 10:00am - 7:00pm, Sunday, April 18th Booth Volunteer Coverage Hours - 10:00am - 6:00pm AND booth breakdown pack up.

Good doggie shopping as well! Educate and inform the public on our breed. Stop by our 'Kissing Booth' for a sloppy kiss by one of our 'Scottish Attired' adorable Westies. We need volunteers and Westies for WAG-A-THON - Dana Point Harbor - Dana Point, CA April 24th, 2010 - Saturday. Hours: 8:30AM - 1:00PM.We will have a Scottish Themed breed booth, manned by knowledgeable volunteers with well mannered Westies (in their Kilts). Will have our famous...'kissing booth', always a crowd pleasing hit! Westie calendars and themed items.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Booth set up at 7:00am, Booth coverage; 8:30am-1:00pm. Afterward break down/pack up. Need volunteers to help with the set up (7AM....yikes) and break down, available to answer questions about the breed, and give 'kissing lessons' to their Westies! APRIL/MAY 2010.... THIRD Annual, WESTIE PAWS IN THE PARK. Held: Park Location TBD - Orange County, CA. This is a 'can not miss' hands-on participation event. Lots of giggles and laughs as owners try to get their Westies to participate in lure racing. Fun "Go-to-Ground" course for our 'of dirt' Terriers...with a live caged rat! And the fun 'barn hunt' have you laughing! Our RESCUE PARADE is sure to bring tears to your eyes. Great silent auction items, prizes, awards, yummy lunch and lots of fun! DIEGO COUNTY FAIR - Del Mar Fairgrounds-Del Mar, CA Meet the Breed Booth TBD (Date To Be Determined), AgriFair Building. Scottish themed breed booth, will provide public education, demonstrate training techniques, and have Westies for viewing. Due to the long hours we are seeking volunteers who are available to help man the hours indicated and required. Especially Monday night when breakdown must be in only one hour!
