Hi There Everyone; My name is Zack, I am a
small AKC Registered male puppy which a family
purchased and really didn't have time for me
and my needs. My birthday is 09/10/02, and initially
I was sold from a pet shop...I now know that
isn't a good thing! I was purchased as a pet
for a family with an extended family and two
children ages; one and three. Ooops another
bad idea! While both adults were working
full time, Grandma was to watch the children,
housetrain, crate train, feed, and walk
me. Well that didn't work very well. Grandma
was allergic to me! So I was placed outside
in a scary back yard...and left to my own devices!
I felt I needed to talk to my family.....so
I would bark and bark and bark. The neighbors
(also Westie owners) came to my rescue! They
brought me to Westie Rescue of CA, anfpo....I
like it here. There are other doggies just like
me, we play and roll on the floor. And I have
a new haircut too! My foster mom says I am a
cutie-pie, isn't that something that you eat?
Oh, well. I am a cute, loving, good tempered,
extremely smart puppy which is in need of loving
and consistent crate training, housetraining
and puppy obedience classes. I already know
I am to 'do my business' on newspapers. But
walking on a leash to do that....will take some
additional training. I like it in the house,
I am very smart, can use the doggie door already,
have had all my shots to date and will need
to be altered (if not prior to placement). I
have been changed over to Westie Diet for puppies.
I am playful and full of energy, and my foster
mom says I would do very well without small
children 7 years or under. I run from them,
because of my past experience. I tried to jump
and bite them....which made them cry. Gosh I
am sorry!!
An update from Zack's family:
Hi there Susan. Zack is the most gorgeous specimen
of a Westie, and the biggest character that
could possibly come out of your Rescue efforts.
He makes us laugh many times every day. Somehow
we know he was meant just for us; one could
almost believe in divine intervention. I know
it's one of your many joys in working with the
Westies to hear this stuff, but I'll say it
anyway I can't thank you enough for what you
do and the care, love and organization you've
brought to connecting Westies with their new
families. We are indeed very happy, no
ecstatic with our baby boy, and he loves his
home and family sooooo much.
