Hi My Name Is Wallace.....Wally to my friends.
And I certainly hope you will become my newest
best friend soon. I am an AKC registered, 3
yr old male Westie, I just celebrated my birthday
this past Summer, which was 06/11.
I was was lovingly placed into Westie Rescue
of CA, by my original owner because family circumstances
unfortunately changed. The only Mom I knew passed
away and Dad and I are very extremely sad. Dad
and I moved from the big house which I only
knew and gave me a lot of freedom to roam in
the big back yard to one which is very restrictive.
Fortunately for me after moving here, my Dad
noticed packs of Coyotes when he takes me out
for my walks in the AM and PM. The neighbor's
on both sides of us have lost their beloved
pets. Dad is afraid for me, so I can't go outside
at all until he comes home from work. So I wait
at the door for him every day.
I am housetrained, leash trained and actually
I love big dog 'buddies', children that are
older (9+ yrs old), but true to Westie breeding
my 'pack hunting dog' mentality kicks in and
I am NOT good with cats. Okay, I chase them....alright,
I confessed! So, am I a bad dog.....not hardly!
I slept with my owner in his bed, but I am working
on crate training (this is something new to
me), I love to ride in the car, I don't bark
much (but do appropriately bark at gardeners,
UPS delivery, doorbells.....you know the general
Terrier stuff). Actually, I will set on command
when any door is open until I have a leash on......then
I will respond to command 'walk'. Gosh, I am
a smart Westie to do that stuff. Nah, nah....all
you Toy Breeds. I weigh about 20 lbs, have all
my shots (DHPP, Corona, Rabies and Bordetella).
I naturally like human laps, love supervising
my assigned 'territory' by relaxing on the back
of the sofa and surveying it. I love my daily
walks during which Dad provides in the AM and
PM and enjoy parks, car rides, meeting other
dogs and of course, humans. I have full medical
records and history, am a wonderful doggie looking
for my special placement with a loving family
and home. Are you that family? Gosh, I hope
so.......I won't let you down.......please rescue
me.
