Update: June 2, 06 Westie Rescue Received the following note from Marti:

Tony crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday. I knew it would be tough, but I feel an overwhelming loss. Little Sky misses him terribly too. He was my first baby and the best dog I could have ever asked for. I want to thank you for bringing him into my life and giving me the wonderful years I had with him. He was truly an angel.

January 2004 update:

Tony and I are doing great.  He is about 9 years old now.  His webpage looks great and looks like a different dog from that time when he had no hair and was skinny!  I adopted another rescued Westie named Sky about three years ago so Tony has a little sister too.  Thank you so much for giving me the chance to have Tony, he has been my little sunshine ever since.  I've attached a picture of the two of them from last Christmas.
