I am an absolutely adorable, young, full of myself, very active male Westie. I was owner surrendered, into these kind peoples care, due to the owner and I not being the most ideal match. I am about 1.8 years old and she, well, was in her mid-80's. I was just way too much for her to handle. Such a shame cause I really liked her and my home. See she found me as a stray, couldn't find my owner and decided to keep me for her own. Well, that didn't work out after she found out how much energy a young Westie has. But these kind folks have promised to find me another good adoptive home. So, let the search begin! Here are a few details; they think I am around 1.5 years old, have been altered, all shots (Rabies-1yr, DHLPP, Bordetella), heartworm tested (negative) with medication, fflea medication and have a microchip too. Am crate/kennel trained, that's so my owner can take 'a time out' from my activity, absolutely love to ride in the car, can use a doggie door, house trained, walks well on a leash, loves to play with other dogs (both male and female) and my tennis ball that came with me. What's not to love?
My Foster Mum, says I will need to take my new adoptive Mom and Dad to obedience classes. Seems I need to learn a thing or two about; coming when called, a sit, a stay and 'don't even think about moving from that spot' thing. Okay, so my social butterfly skills are out of control.....geez nobody is perfect! Darn, close though...tee hee! Plus, I find chasing cats entertaining. Mine you understand not theirs. I just can not help myself, they run and my feet just take off after 'em. I think I was born this way...sorry! So, no cats for me.
My ideal home would be a home with a fenced back yard, doggie door, a front screen door ('cause I have been known to slip between your legs and out an open front door), a family with two legged kids over 8 years old, a work schedule which allows me daily a long brisk walk in the morning and afternoon, plus another one after dinner. I like to play with other dogs as well as toys (hope they have lots). Actually folks, I would like to be able to know where my house is on my very own street. Can you provide that? Hope so. Well what are you waiting for.....get in that application! Pronto!
Just sign me anxious for my forever home...TOEBE.
