Toby was adopted by Linda and James with
Cruiser (another rescue)
They adopted both Cruiser (on the left) and
Toby (on the right) at the same time.
Hi My Name Is Toby. Yes, people I am a female.....dah!
It's California, folks! So my former owner named
me "TOBY". I like my name.
I was bred in California and purchased by a
young female who's family has taken care of
me since I was a puppy. I have been playing
in the affluent beach community since then.
Well now, she is all grown up, has her own life,
profession and doesn't have time for us (me
and my partner Cruiser) any longer. Boy, talk
about a let down, this is the only comfortable
home which we both have known. We wish her great
success, but would like our adoption families
placement to be a 'forever' success too. And
that isn't so bad a wish...is it? We just want
to return the love which was pledged to us initially.
I am currently left outside because our owner's
parents (which is where we have been staying)
are not home from 8:30am to 8:30pm they work
long hours and are gone a great deal of the
time. Hey, someone needs to provide the kibble
we eat.....work with us here people! We don't
mind because we either stay in a kennel or have
the maid stay with us. if our owners are out
of town.
I am housetrained, leash trained, can use a
doggie door, am thoroughly crate trained and
know the commands of sit, down, stay, come.....and
my foster Mom says about 100% of the time. I
absolutely love to ride in the car and I love
to play with people, dogs and of course some
children. (yikes, .....don't we all!!!!).
I will need to be kept on the Westie Diet (see
our reference webpage),
continue obedience training and reinforce of
my previously trained house manners. I came
with all medical and vaccination records all
the way back to puppy hood. I have a huge medical
record folder, thanks Mom and Dad for keeping
it up.
I am up to date on my DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies
shots. I have recently been groomed, my previous
groomer decided to move out of state.....yikes.
I have been patiently waiting to be groomed
appropriately. Now I actually look like a Westie....sigh......yep.....that's
me! My previous owner thought I looked like
a puppy, yep I do have beautiful conformation.
Please see if you can find it in your heart
and home to extend a welcome 'paw' for me and
my male pal, Cruiser. I need a new home, please
submit an application. I promise you won't be
sorry. I really am a very good girl, you wait
and see........really!
