Thelma with new adopted family, Michael and Vicky (and Michael Sr)

Hi Westie Lovers; My name is Thelma (don't laugh I was named this because I had a litter sister named Louise). I am a recently spayed, female AKC Registered Westie. I am 5 years old. My original owner, due to personal circumstances, had to give me up because she couldn't care for me any longer. So, I was shuttled between four other homes prior to coming into Westie Rescue of CA. I am glad I am here because they are very nice and are helping me find another wonderful home. I am a very protective little Westie and I think all the attention in the household should be mine. So, my foster mom says that I will need to be placed in a 'one only' pet home. That was after I had a 'minor scuffle' with one of the other Westies here at my foster home. See, I have problems 'working and playing with others' ...sigh. I have a tendency to try to keep away any other Westies, so I can have all the attention. I am very jealous. I did try to bite any other Westies when they come near my foster mom while I am there getting attention. I am recovering nicely from my spay operation. I am up to date with all my shots (DHLPP, Corona, Bordetella and Rabies). They had my teeth cleaned, along with blood work, stool sample, and now have better skin due to medicated baths and NO FLEAS! I really like the new Westie Diet.  I eat every bit of it. My foster mom laughs when I run down the hallway for my crate when I see my blue food bowl in her hands. I want to be ready when dinner is served. I love to ride in the car and take two daily walks with the other Westies that live here. I am okay when I am walked with other doggies. I can use a doggie door and like taking 'sun baths' on the decking here. I also bark at the gardener, but my foster mom says I really shouldn't do that.......I do try! My new 'forever' home should be a single retired person or couple with lots of time to give me the attention which I demand. Lost of tummy rubs and such), no small children and NO other pets (and that means cats too! Shoot there goes my entertainment!!!). Must keep topical flea protection on all year long, keep on the Westie Diet, maintain good grooming.
