Karen and Ron, are welcoming their new family addition, Teddy

Nothing is too good for Our Boy, Teddy........Even His Own Limo!

Feb 2004 update:
Hi Westie Rescue. Well it doesn't seem possible, February 1, 2003 was the "BIRTHDAY" of our Little Teddy Bear!  Actually it's the anniversary of us bringing him home. He is very much loved! He still growl's when we pick him up even though he wants to be picked up! (Whaaa, Whaaa, Whaaa!) So Funny!! We call him Wackity Jackity! He is such a Lover Boy for the most part. He has issues still, but he has come full circle since we picked him up. He's getting much better. He is so well loved in this household. He's our "Little Boy!" He loves to play and he gets that BIG smile on his face! We are learning more about him every day and he is learning more about us too.

Thank you for giving Big Head Ted to us! We love him so much!!
Lots of Love, Licks and Tail Wags,
Karen, Ron & Teddy Bear!

Hi My Name Is Teddy...... I am a neutered male Westie, we believe about 5 years old that was rescued from a shelter in San Fernando Valley.

I am a sweet, even tempered guy that loves being along side of you with whatever you are doing. I currently am living in a foster home with both male and female Westies and get along beautifully with them all. I like to sunbath in the back yard and sleep on the entry way tile. Oh, yeah I like the computer desk too. My elderly former owner couldn't keep me any longer as she was moving out of state and didn't think I should come.

I am current on all my shots, rabies, and bordetella. I am on Veterinary canned food and will have to maintain on this diet. I have a sensitive stomach so Vet canned food is best for me. I was over weight when I arrived at my foster mom's, but she immediately put me into an exercise program which consists of two long walks per day for toning and conditioning. I have lost weight and have energy now which I didn't have before. Hey, the Yorkie down the road gave me a look the other day!!!! Ha, ha!

I will do excellent in a calm house with no small children, under the age of 7 years old. If there is too much commotion it makes me start barking and racing through the house. I would be perfect for a single retired person or couple. Someone who will take me for long walks and car rides, and has plenty of time to scratch my tummy. I understand everything that is said to me, because my foster mom says so. She can tell by the way I tilt my head back and forth when she is talking to me. I can use a doggie door, sleep in a crate.....but I really prefer sleeping on my foster mom's bed with the other Westie gang, am housetrained, leash trained and love dinner time.....I do a little dance for my dinner (my foster mom gets a big kick out of that....hey, I aim to please). Have never lifted my leg in the house nor had an accident....my foster mom says that is 'wonderful....and I am such a good boy'. I figure why go in the house, when outside is much more interesting and I can chase the neighbor's cat if it's out (foster mom says I'm a bad doggie on that one....sigh!). Geez, there goes my fun! Special Consideration: Canned Vet Food and weekly baths to keep my coat in good shape.
