Shannon with new mom and dad, Liz and Larry

I am a 3 1/2 year old female whose birthday is 10/06/98. My loving and pampering original owner died after she purchased me and my friend, a Scottie, from a pet store. I liked her very much, and she loved me too. After her death, I was sold by relatives to another family. My friend from puppy hood was a Scottie and they purchased her too. But I became jealous of the extra attention which she got at the new home and became very protective of my food dish, toys and treats. I only stayed in the second home for 9 months.....they said dogs where too expensive and they had too many things going on in their lives to care for two small dogs. So I was again sold to another family, via the internet this time. I was only kept for three days at this house, they didn't do their homework on Terriers prior to deciding on the breed....something about trying to kill the son's Hamster did me in. Gosh, I thought that was what I was bred to do!!!!! Oh, well, now I am in a foster home, with other Westies...darn it! My foster Mom thinks that I would be better in a one doggie family....I think she means only me, and I do really like my 'one-on-one' attention. I have food bowl issues, will growl at other dogs trying to get my treats and/or toys. So yep, I would do much better in a one doggie home. I sleep in a crate at night, will have all my shots when placed (I wasn't up to date), will hopefully have a better haircut to show my sweet face and sole full eyes. I will also be spayed, which I currently am not. Brother, they take away a girl's fun!!!! I walk on a leash very well, I like to walk fast, I can use a doggie door and am house trained too. I do have a problem, as I like to jump onto things......chairs, tables, dressers.....shoot I might be missing something by staying on the ground! I also chase cats, so I can't have one for my very own. This dog when placed will have all routine shots, rabies, be currently spayed and have a better hair cut!!!! My foster Mom wanted to add her two bits about that. Something about being a beauty queen in waiting.....whatever! Please let me come and stay with you forever and ever. This dog should be on the special Westie Diet for the remainder of her life. She has had skin problems in the past, primarily because she was an outside dog and flea production was minimal....until recently. In my foster home, I have my very own inside, air conditioned clean crate with toys too!
