Sari

Sari at the Shelter

Sari After Groom

And again

Hi My New Name is SARI......

I am a petite, female, spay, Westie that my foster Mom thinks is 5+ years old. I was found wandering the streets in San Diego, so guess who picked me up......you got it.....the Dog Catcher. Ya, gotta love my 'mug shot' from the shelter. I waited for my owner to show up and bail me out, but no one came for me. I was getting anxious and very nervous. I would shake in my kennel run. Nobody looked familiar to me, even though lots of people stopped to see me. I was scared that I might have to stay at the shelter permanently. There were lots of barking dogs, I really needed some piece and quiet.

Since nobody came for me, I was adopted out by a nice volunteer with WR of CA. She talked really nice to me. I liked her immediately. Well maybe it was the cookies she gave me before we went 'bye-bye' in her big car. I like riding in cars. I will have to admit, I was having a 'bad haircut' day or should I say, month before I came into foster care! She gave me a bath, cut my 'monster toenails' and groomed me so I was a really pretty Westie. My food was changed over to the Westie Diet, and um boy I sure like it. There are other Westies here at my foster Mom's and they're okay, but I prefer to have her attention all to myself.

I am crate trained, walk on a leash very well (actually I put it in 'high gear'), can use a doggie door, and am housetrained. Only have had a couple of 'accidents' which my foster mom says weren't my fault entirely. I had a major ear infection which didn't feel so good. But my foster Mom, flushed it out and put some medication in it which made it a whole lot better. Now I don't have to shake my head so much. I like to lay right by you and have my tummy scratched. I don't like it when you stop.......I could just lay there forever! You and me......

My foster Mom says I need a home with NO small kids, no cats, other animals and someone home during the day to keep me company. I am up to date with all my shots (Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP). I should stay on the Westie Diet because it is very good for my skin and will help my coat grow. I also need year around flea medication (Frontline-Plus) because I came from the shelter with some nasty fleas....they didn't last too long here at my foster Moms! She doesn't let those little boogers stay!

Can I come home to live with you? I promise I will be on my best behavior......Love SARI
