SARAH

Donna holding Sarah               Danny holding Beau

Hi everyone!  It's me, the new improved Sarah!!

My life started out pretty hard until Westie Rescue of CA found me. It was a miracle - I went from sick and living on the streets to healthy and living like a princess.  I gained 4 pounds-love that Westie diet!!!

Westie Rescue found my very special forever home with Donna & Danny.  They are the best Mom and Dad and take care of my every need.   My favorite place is in my Dad's recliner with the two of us sleeping side by side!   I have a new Westie brother, Beau who I love to boss around and chase through the yard with his tail in my mouth.  Thank you for giving me this second chance at a wonderful new life!!

Forever grateful and loving you bunches, Sarah

Original Story Below

Hi Westie Lovers.....MY NAME IS "Sarah".....

I was just pulled from an Inland CA shelter by the nice folks at Westie Rescue of CA. My new name was given to celebrate the WR of CA volunteer name who helped with my rescue! Boy they had to jump through hoops to get me too. I came with some existing skin issues, so that's why no body wanted to adopt me. I really don't look my best at the moment, but I will be as good as new pretty soon with this wonderful care. People kept going by my kennel run, saying 'poor dear', even though I would wag my tail and put my paws up on the fencing. I guess my former owner didn't care enough to take care of me....sigh. But I have been promised that all will change. I can see the progress already! I have been spay, given all my shots (Rabies-3 yr, DHPP, Bordetella and Corona) and started on antibiotics and medicated baths delivered with a natural bristle brush to remove the dead smelly skin. I am being fostered with a really cool totally Westie family. They own three other Westies, two of them are WR of CA rescues! But alas, until my skin issue is cleared up somewhat, I can not romp and play with them quite yet.

They kinda think I am around 4 years old. I walk on a leash well, love my new diet (Westie Diet), get my bedding changed daily, am calm and sweet. Currently during my rehabilitation care I am getting a medicated bath daily. My foster Mom blow dries me too. I kinda like the attention and I know it is for the best. I already am responding to this great care! Look for my up coming photos soon.

After I get well, can I come home with you? Will you promise to love me forever? I kinda would like my new home to be the one where I can stay. I promise to love you!

Please give me a chance. Waggin' Bottom, Sarah
