Hi My Name Is Princess;
I know
that because I had a collar, license and tags
when the nice animal control officer picked me
up. The shelter tried to track down my original
owners; but telephone was disconnected, mail to
last known address was returned and gosh, no one
came looking for me. I am a 3 year old,
spayed (now) little Westie. I pretty much
need to be the one and only doggie in the household,
because, well I am termed 'dog aggressive'.
Well that's what the shelter officer found out
when I was taken home to play with her other doggies.
I say, nah......I just want to be the only 'terr-ior'
in the family.......you see I don't like to share.
But, I am very friendly in a one-on-one situation,
and with my owners. I like to play, ride
in the car and all the general stuff doggies do.
I really
had a rough go of it; wandering the streets looking
for my family, then waiting for weeks for my family
to find me, and then when every avenue was exhausted
the shelter personnel contacted Westie Rescue
of CA. They thought that was the best solution,
because I had 'special adoption needs' and the
shelter felt sure Westie Rescue of CA would know
a loving family for me. See, for my
protection the shelter wouldn't let me be
adopted by the general public. So since
I was going to Westie Rescue, the shelter took me
to their veterinary office for my spay surgery.
When the volunteer picked me up from the vets
office, I was still pretty sedated. Once
she got me home, noticed something just
was not right. So into a local pet emergency
clinic we went, come to find out the vet
left a trachea tube in me. Boy, I
was a pretty sick little girl until they figured
out what was wrong. But I am find now.
And, I am all settled into my adoption home
never to stray.......lets hope......again.
Love to all, Princess
