Ahoy, mates......my name is Pirate. I am aptly named because I will 'pirate' away your heart plus any shoes, sox, underwear or ? you leave in my pathway! I am an AKC registered, unaltered (at the moment), male, 4 month old (as of 5/24) puppy. I was given up by my owner because of puppy biting, socialization, crate soiling and being way to active. I am current on all my shots (Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP and Corona). I have attended some obedience training classes, because I am very, as my foster Mom says "willful" and "high energy" in everything I do. Because I was previously kept in my crate for long periods of times without the opportunity to go outside, I soil in my crate. I also thought it was okay, to bite (pant legs, ankles, fingers and toes) if I didn't feel like doing what my owner wanted me to. Ooops, my foster Mom straightened me out on that little point.....sorry Mom. I am a very active puppy. A condition of adoption will be neutering. I also must have a fenced backyard and my placement will be with people who have previously owned a Westie. I don't do well with other doggies, either male or female. And, I will not be placed in a home with children, period. I want to be the one and only of the household. I need my new adoptive home to be one who works out of their home or is home during the day. Can't be left alone, cause I get into mischief and need immediate correction. Also, requirement of adoption would be further obedience training, shoot I am a little rusty on my house manners. But am almost potty trained, except for that crate thing. Please do not consider this puppy if you do not meet all the general criteria. Pirate has been in too many non-terrier homes previously and we will not consider outside of these requirements.
