Ozzy with his new owners and buddy Sam

Summer 2003 update from owners Mark and Patrick

"The boys are doing REALLY well. Extremely happy in their new home. Here is OZ in his favorite napping spot on the back of the couch in our new living room. They especially love the new groomer around the corner "Wiggles and Wags". Oz and Sam pick out a new toy every time they go... funny how they always pick the most expensive ones..."

I am a 10 month old, neutered male Westie. I came from a family which bought me from a breeder......but wasn't prepared for training a Westie and just about anything about a terrier. The family had twins (2 1/2 year olds), which I wanted to chase, bite and play with. But my original Mom thought better of THAT IDEA!!!! So, I was banished to the back yard with the cat. The cat and I became fast friends, I would chase him around the backyard and actually would get into trouble when I would eat......well you know!!!! I have all my medical background papers, am not AKC registered.....but that really doesn't matter to me! I do need some leash training, house manners, socialization and crate training. None of these things were done in the original home. My new foster Mom changed my whole happy existence.....but she said that it was for my own good.....geez, I guess she knows best. Well now, I can walk on a lead, I sleep in a crate all night without barking or scratching, my diet has changed too.....I only eat what is in my doggie bowl! And, it is really good food....something about the Westie Diet. I like it and my itching from being outside has stopped. I haven't had one accident inside, so I am really, really smart.....says my foster Mom. She is quite proud of me, I like her too.
