I was a wondering fella' that ended up at a over-crowded shelter. These kind folks at Westie Rescue of CA bailed me out and everything has been looking up since then! I have undergone an extreme make-over and I am a cutie-pie (my Foster Mom said that)! I am an adorable purebred, altered, male Westie. My age is about 2-3 years old. Really folks, I was a mess when the dog 'napper' wrangled me into the shelter. I was covered with ticks and fleas, my fur was matted and filthy, had urine stained fur and had had an encounter with a skunk....whew-ee ! Well that's all in the past now.
I have been neutered, given all my shots (Rabies-3 years, DHPP, Bordetella), wormed, teeth cleaned and now have a microchip (that's so I won't get lost again). I was picked up by the dog napper, with a female Westie hobo wandering along with me, they named her....NORA. . I am crate trained, walk on a leash excellent. I am a little timid and in new situations my humans need to be calm and not move too fast. Seems I was not socialized with humans or really 'companion life' before landing in my foster home. Everything was sooooo overwhelming but now I am really getting good at meeting new things, situations, sounds and especially humans. I like the ones who bend down and talk to me the best. I give little kisses as I get more trusting. I have really taken to my new food here at my Foster Mom's... Westie Diet...yum, clean my bowl right away. I have gained weight, because I was under weight for my size.
There are three other resident Westies here to play with; a male and two females. I like them lots now that I know them. Can you imagine....five of us little white blurs! I will just wait by my crate for ya to come adopt me. Ya need to have a completed application first though. Okay, I have new toys and a collar and leash that I would like to take with me....Is that okay?
Just sign me.....NICK .
