Winston ( aka Murphy )

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let all of those nice folks that were thinking about how great it would be to have such a cute little guy to love, that I have been adopted and am now living in Arizona with my new Forever Parents Katie and Frank.

I know that you probably had your heart set on me (who wouldn't), but take a look at my brothers and sisters that are still waiting for their chance at a Forever home.

If you have the love to give, you'll get it returned 100 times over.
Take care and thanks again for your happy thoughts..

Wags and kisses.......Winston

Original Story Below

Hi Westie Lovers.....MY NAME IS "MURPHY".....

I am a male puppy, who's birthday is 09-17-05, AKC Registered and come with my very own 3-generation pedigree certificate, been altered and up to date with all my shots.

I just have not found my 'forever family'....sigh! I was the definitely the wrong breed for my original owners. Even though they loved me lots, they were not prepared or experienced in "Terr-ior" ownership. Guess they did not think something so little and cute could demand so much attention. They already had three young 'two legged' kids that needed obedience training (in my opinion), then they added a small demanding puppy to the mix. Alas, it just did not work. Consistency and training just ran a muck, so I just got way too big for my little britches (my foster Mom says that anyway). Also, I didn't like the kids taking my toys or treats. I figured what is mine is mine and I wanted to keep it that way. I am so am very loving to my owner and will try to protect them when strangers come into the yard (I will bite, if not properly introduced).

I am crate trained, sleep through the night, use a doggy door, love my many walks on a leash and like to explore outside. My foster Mum says "too much exploring in the flower bed"...however. My foster mom says I am a really good Boy, very loving, give kisses, turn over for tummy scratches. I am full of boundless energy, am curious about everything and anything and have a demanding attitude, so... well... I AM a Westie! Oh yeah, I am supposed to add...I sleep upside down, which always gets a chuckle from my foster Dad.

I would like my forever home to be experienced Terrier owner(s),
with NO CHILDREN. I love to be busy, playing fetch, pulling out all my toys from from the huge basket here at my foster mom's and sunning myself on the big deck. I will need to take my adoptive family to obedience training, see I know my commands; set, stay, heel, lay down and am learning paw shake. My foster Mom says I should have an enclosed safe back yard that I can call mine. Will need lots of daily exercise, walks and play time. But my owner should be loving, stable, and again with no 'two legged' kids....and I can not have a cat of my own. I enjoy seeing them climb trees, figure I have done my good deed for the day! I promise I will try to be a very good doggy, but remember I am a just a big puppy.....so give me a little 'wiggle' room.

Are you my forever home? Well then, get in that application. Where is the application...you ask...download it from our website. I am waiting by the front door for ya...can I just move in with all my chew toys and balls?

Murphy...

As our rescue stories are available, we place them on PetFinder and www.WestieRescueCA.com, when photos are available they are also posted. We have a wonderful network of foster volunteers in California and affiliate volunteers working hard in other states for our organization. So, often times the stories and photos will follow after the initial post of a dog being available.

Please do not email requesting information.

Visit our website: http://www.WestieRescueCA.com. There an application is available from our website and is required for adoption consideration.

We do not ship our dogs, but do adopt to out-of-state to approved homes. Thank you for considering a rescued Westie for your home and hearts.

IF YOU CAN'T ADOPT CONSIDER A DONATION, PLEASE
