Monty

Hey MONTY is the name and my adoption is the game folks. I was a stray pulled from one of the central California animal shelters. The shelter staff thought I was a very young 8 year old. And, Westie Rescue of CA has added more cute stuff; I am very smart , perky, affectionate and relatively healthy. So there! My temperament is good with older children 8 yrs and up. Shoot, I even get along with my foster Mum's female Golden Retriever. But alas, I want to find my forever home pretty soon, so I am real careful no to overdue it on the barking thing. But I really love to be on people's laps and have my favorite Westie 'staff person' take me for long walks , so I can explore. I am mostly house trained, but do slip up a little. I can feel my foster Mum's eyes always watching me, when I am loose running around the house playing with the Golden. She says this will stop as soon as I have my very own forever home. I will know then it will MY VERY OWN and not have other dog's smells that I feel I need to cover up.....grin. I am crated at night in my foster Mum and Dad's bedroom and that's okay with me. I just go to sleep, because I actually like my crate.

My kind foster folks, took me to the Vet because I had a large growth over my left eye. The surgery was scheduled and done on 06/17/05, they biopsy and found it to be benign epithelial melanoma. And that was a really good thing. The Vet also found that I have a minor heart murmur, but shoot that doesn't effect me at all. My foster Mum said to say, I am very energetic, but not a hyper guy.

I am extremely 'prey driven' so I can't have a cat of my very own to terrior-ize. My foster Mum says 'no exceptions' on that cat thing....do ya suppose Santa knows that too? Shoot, I am only doing what comes naturally for a Westie; prey hunting skills. Guess mine's a little 'too' sharp! Teehee.

I am up to date with all my shots (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella) and I even have a microchip. Say, are you looking for a darling Westie who would love nothing more than to be'your' lap dog? If so, please go to our website and complete an application....real soon cause I want to have my own place to call my very own. Sending extra licks and love your way....MONTY.
