HI WESTIE LOVERS.......
My name is 'KiKi'. I am a 4 year old, spayed,
female, AKC registered Westie. I am a very happy
little girl, likes playing with toys and just
love my new foster Mom's huge toy basket. I
will dig through the big basket to get just
the right one for the moment. Run through the
house squeaking it. I will place it at your
feet so you can enjoy playing with it too. My
original owner relinquished me because her living
and personal situation has changed greatly since
she bought me from a breeder in Colorado at
13 weeks of age. We used to live in Colorado,
then in Las Vegas and now in the 'Valley' of
San Fernando Valley. Hey, does that make me
a 'Valley Girl'? Oh, My Gaaaud!
My Mom and myself now
share a home with my Mom's parents, their Westies
and other dogs. My Mom works during the day,
so since I really, really don't get along with
the existing Westies here in the house, am placed
in the bathroom daily until my Mom gets home
from work. We Westies, have had some pretty
ugly fights in the short time I have lived here.
I just won't back down if challenged. So, I
have to be kept by myself in the bathroom or
in my crate while my Mom works. And, I also
can't be put in an exercise pen, because I know
how to climb over. Actually, I am quite proud
of my 'Houdini Move', but I seem to be the only
one. My Mom says this isn't a good workable
situation and it isn't fair to me, because she
knows what a good dog I was when we used to
live in Colorado. I was her best buddy, a real
princess, pillow stealer and the light of her
life. But sometimes things change......
I am current with my
shots (DHLPP, Corona, Rabies), have been spay,
I came into rescue with both of my ears infected
and some minor skin hot spots. My foster Mom
took me to the Vet right away, so I am on medication
to clear up the ear infections and am being
changed over to the Westie Diet. I have been
to obedience training. I know the commands;
set, come, heel, down, stay and my original
Mom says I usually respond 90% of the time.
Hey, that's pretty good for a terrier! I moved
in with my own toys and crate to my foster Mom's,
so really I can move in with you just about
any old time. I am housetrained and will let
you know when I need to go outside, but if you
have a doggie door I know how to use it too.
Here at my foster Mom's, I don't have any problems
with THESE Westies (two; male and female). So,
my foster Mom says I could possibly be placed
with other doggies, but only after a brief adoption
meeting introduction to see how I do. I haven't
had any problems with socialization or interaction
with my foster Mom's Westies. And, one very
important thing...I can't have a cat......definitely
NOT...says my foster Mom. Shoot and I so liked
that 'chase and try to kill the cat game'!!!
In my foster Mom's home we take several daily
walks, I kinda was out of shape, but I like
the exercise regime now and I like all the people
who greet me. My foster Mom says I walk on a
leash really, really well. I get to go for rides
in the car and I like looking out the window.
And, I can actually sleep in a crate, but if
I have a chance I will hop up on my foster Mom's
bed and sleep with her, my foster dad and their
two Westies. It's a good thing they have a king
size bed huh? Tee-hee. I like the tummy rubs
and extra attention and I like it when you talk
to me.
The ideal adoptive family
would be; a family without small children (under
the age of 9 yrs old), I am okay left loose
in the house if you go to work, my adoptive
family must promise to maintain my Westie Diet
daily, groom me regularly because I have very
thick fur and give me lots of love and exercise.
I really would like to come to live with you.
How about it? Could I? Huh?
