Sad News

Westie Rescue CA received the news that one of our Foster Parents, Bob Salomon passed away late last year.

Bob was the loving father of 2 Westies he and his wife Annadean rescued, Bogie and Kacey. Although he didn't have alot of time with them, sadly, he was crazy about his babies. They have been a saving grace for Annadean during this incredibly sad time.

If you would like to send a memorial donation in the name of Bob Salomon please click the link below.

Original Story Below

Well folks you're a day late and a dollar short if you were thinking about taking me home. Yep, that's right, not only did I get a new Forever Mom Annadeen and Dad Robert, but I also got a brand new brother Boggie.

We're very happy together and make a great looking family to boot.

Hopefully Mom and Dad will keep Westie Rescue CA updated with news about Me and an ocassional photo. Take care now Kacee.....

Gosh - Am I pretty or what !

I am a absolutely darling altered female, who is a petite (15 lbs) and AKC Registered. My DOB is 08/30/1998. And, sadly for my family I was owner relinquished. I came into the program from my original home because there was a new 'princess' in the household. I guess I got overly friendly with the little tike. Plus, I was kinda banished to the back yard because my previous owner could not watch the baby AND me. The funny smelling crawling tike didn't want to play ball with me either....huh, what good is that!

When I came to my foster Mom's I had some skin issues because of fleas, being in the back yard, wrong food, but now my diet has changed to the Westie Diet (see our website for recipe), I now am primarily an inside doggie and receive a medicated bath regularly (which I don't mind at all). All my coat has grown back and I am a beautiful, happy, healthy Westie girlfriend (my foster Mom says that!). I am very active and I love playing fetch, ball and running around the house with a fuzzy squeaky toy in my mouth. I do not want to be ignored, but my foster Mum says that is typical of a Westie. I am receiving regular exercise and several daily walks which I really like. I am friendly to everyone. I really like it at my foster Mom's, cause there are Westie adults and little puppies that play with me. I am very gentle with the puppies, I let them roll all over me, cause I am a little 'player'.

This female is up-to-date with her shots (Rabies-3 yr, Bordetella, DHPP), has had her teeth professionally cleaned and polished and heartworm test performed 11/18/05. She is crate trained, house trained, can use a doggie door, walks on a leash excellent, and likes to ride in a car. She is a positive and active dog.

We will place KACEE in a no children home, due to her inquisitive and playful behavior. She would do very well with another Westie in residence. We will require year round flea control, continued feeding of the Westie Diet and appropriate available time to adequately exercise and play with this darling little 'princess'. Are you her new forever home? if so, go to our website and download an application and submit it. She'll be waiting by the front door, naturally with her ball in her mouth.

Yeah, ruff, ruff....hurry cause I want to teach you how to play ball with me...KACEE
