Jammers and his new mom, Lucinda

Jammers has now been renamed McGruffin

Hello My Name Is Jammer's. I am a recently neutered, beautiful adult purebred male Westie. Since I lost my passport in my 'wondering travels', the Vet is guessing my age at a young 7 years old. I have a beautiful large head, with a cute expression and a very nice coat, but again with a bad 'commercial groomed haircut' (too, too short....says my foster Mom.....eeeeech gads!). I have excellent conformation and am a sturdy little character who doesn't necessarily like to be picked up a lot. I was found when I wandered into a commercial building contractor's company; huge semi's and trucks coming and going. No collar, micro-chip and/or tattoo to help them find my home. I was dirty, had a major ear infection and a rather large scab on the top of my head. My teeth had been neglected and I had a bad case of diarrhea from eating out of the dumpster. I was not neutered, so I immediately didn't get along with any male Westies in my foster mom's house......I just loved the girls though!!!! They weren't that happy to have me pawing them all the time......so off to the Vets for neutering.

I had been previously crate trained, housetrained, leash trained and can use the doggie door perfectly. I did have a little accident the first night in my new house.....but my foster Mom said that was alright and perfectly understandable. But now I get the program, it's outside with that activity. And I just love my three long walks daily. I like to walk and sniff everything, I really am not a barker....only when the doorbell rings or the other dogs are barking.....I add my two cents!!!!! The only negative thing is I can't climb steps......I am afraid. I can go down them but I really get afraid to come up them by myself. So I am picked up to go up the stairs. I have recently been neutered 11/01, have had all my shots, including Rabies and Bordetella. And, my teeth were cleaned also. I like my new Westie diet so I will be required to stay on that, need a home with no children under the age of 7 years old. And I can't have a Cat of my own, darn it.....I chase them.... then 'urinate' on the tree that they climbed......sigh, a guy just wants to have some fun! I would do better in a very calm house; perhaps a retired couple or an older single person who is home during the day but still active. I like to ride in the car, and look out the window. I absolutely LOVE watching the TV., cartoons and The Animal Planet are my favorites. I also just love being right next to you.....no matter what you are doing.....say what ARE you doing in the bathroom anyway?????? If I promise I won't stare will you let me in????
