I am a female Westie that was a stray found wondering around for more than a couple of days in a military base by their security guards. No tags, no identification, no microchip....so no home! The military base security guard gave me to the local shelter, so there I waited for my owner to find me, but no one ever came. I can not understand why either cause my Foster Mom says I am a great looking young female Westie.
I am loving and gentle, don't bark much (yep that is right), small female (15 pounds), who might be 2-3 years old (if that). I can walk on a leash well, and love to go on long walks. I keep looking up at my Foster Mom to make sure I am doing what she wants.
I am crate trained and like riding in the car especially looking out the window in my 'Pet'. I am harnessed in and can nap there also. Based upon my condition, mats and stickers.....yikes they even found 'ticks'.....ICK, I was desperately in need of a good bath and appropriate Westie pattern grooming......and viola presto chango I am once again the darling Westie
I always have been.
I have all my shots (Rabies-3 yr, DHPP, Bordetella). Because of my shelter stay, I came to my Foster Mom and Pop's with a very bad case of Canine Bronchitis and Kennel Cough. My Foster Mom had to keep me in quarantine and away from all the other Westies. Plus, I was unaltered and in season (heat) as well....oops. My owner was not pet responsible. I am over all the kennel cough and have a great playful disposition now.
I also love dinner time here, the great Westie Diet (see website recipe) is very yummy! Guess they think I was previously fed people food or ate out of garbage cans.
Both ears were infected, but they are on the mend now. My nails were over-grown and after cutting I can walk great. I like going for long walks with my Foster Pop, he talks or sings to me while we walk. I like him, but my Foster Mom is very special.
I would like a calm loving home for my forever home. Perhaps with a single woman, who is gentle and likes to cuddle. Do you think that home could be yours??? Well, then follow the directions on the website for submitting an application. I have a new collar and leash and some squeaky toys that I will bring, not much but there is lots of love......okay with you?
Just sign me .....LOVINGLY, GWYNNE, Lady In Waiting.
