Gabby (on right) with Carole and Fred and Reilly (with the big smile)

My Name Is GABY. What's yours? I am an AKC Registered, young puppy at only 10 months of age and I was given up by my original owner. I guess I had too much 'Terr-ior puppy behavior' and they had too much family 'life stuff' happening to make it work. Well, I am ready to have another go at a forever family......could that be with you?

My foster Mom says I am all puppy, playful, inquisitive, full of energy and in need of basic puppy training and obedience school. I am used to getting my own way, and basically doing what I wanted to. Gosh, WAS is the operative word here at my foster Moms. Shish, I can't put anything past her.....she seems to know just what I am thinking on doing next!

I walk on a leash okay, but I am not used to traffic or loud car noises. The first time on my foster Mom's patio.....the table cover blowing scared me. Mom thinks I need some more socialization, so we are going to the outdoor mall to walk around and greet people appropriately. I really want to do well for her and show her what a good girl I CAN be. I like it here, even though I came with lots of toys and my own wire crate.....she has many, many different toys to play with and I have other Westies here too. Young and old, I try to make them play with me. I like that, sometimes I growl to protect my toy... but we are working on that protection thing....as my foster Mom calls it.

The ideal home for me would be: at least one person in the family working from home or be a 'Westie Playmate' who doesn't work , a knowledgeable Terrier person(s) who can stay 'one step ahead of me' (brother!), a couple or person who can take me to puppy training and basic obedience classes. And then reinforce that training. Continue my diet which was changed due to feet licking and scratching, to the Westie Diet, (see website for recipe). By the way, I really, really like the new food.

This Westie puppy is very smart, quick to learn, is housetrained, leash trained (although still needs work), can use a doggie door, up to date on shots (DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies), has had a fecal test (neg), is spay and is crate trained. Oh, she loves to ride in the car too!

Could I come to live with you and be your one and only 'Love Bug'?
