Original Story Below

My new name is DARLA....

I was just saved by these kind folks from a very high kill shelter. Whew!!! So, here is the scoop about this cute pie! I am a very young, estimate age at 6 mos old, female, unaltered (at the moment due to Kennel Cough), wiggly, playful puppy. I am in foster care because I have a bad case of shelter Kennel Cough. Have been to the Vet's and got medication to make me all better. Teehee, my foster Mom and me play a game of catch me, when she is trying to get me to take my oral medication. She got smart and wrapped it in a piece of cheese. Yum!!

I am learning crate training and that helps with my house training as well. Vaccinations (Rabies-1 yr, DHPP, Bordetella), will be altered once over Kennel Cough. I am on the great food here called The Westie Diet.. I am currently quarantined and away from the other male Westie here at foster's house. This Kennel Cough thing has not gotten me down; cause I can run, play, jump, chase with the best of them. Not just now you understand.

The best adoptive home is one that has lots of time and can continue house training. Seems like a fenced yard to play in, lots of squeaky toys and an owner who can take me to basic Obedience Training classes. Will be altered by adoption after Kennel Cough. I will continue playing right here in my foster home until they find YOU....my forever home! So if you are it, get that application in very soon. More photos and information later. Sign me.....DARLA.
