Sophie ( was Cammi )

Sad News

Westie Rescue CA received the news that Sophie has joined her friends at the Rainbow bridge.

Everyone who knew Sophie loved her sweet face and personality. She touched everyone that she met.

Catherine and Frank wouldn't have traded the 3 years that they had with their 'little angle' for any thing. The love they shared was priceless.

Original Story Below

Cammi, before her rescue.

My Name Is Cammi. I was found wandering the streets and the dog catcher picked me up and took me to a Ventura County shelter. I waited patiently for my owner to come but no one was looking for me. So, I naturally thought I was a throw away dog and that made me sad. I am a 5 year old, spayed female that wasn't taken care of very well with my original owners. I naturally was sad, dirty and very hungry. I waited and waited and looked at each person who came by my kennel. A very nice Westie of CA volunteer adopted me out of the shelter.....and I somehow knew that this was going to be a good thing. She told me that I was going to be taken care of and my eye that needed medical attention would have it. I knew I was on my way to end up in my new forever home. The Westie Rescue of CA volunteer was very gentle and spoke to me in a comforting tone. I liked that. I went from the loud and scary shelter to a new wonderful home...it was nice, clean and I could have as much food as I liked. Oh, yeah there was another male Westie too. He was a rescued Westie too. I like it here, my new Mom lets me sleep on the bed with her, I remembered how to use the doggie door and like my new 'Westie hair do'. I am calm, loving and like attention. I can walk on a leash well and really like the indoors. I would like a calm household, with no cats and I like other dogs. Because of my lack of good care previously, I will need to continue the Westie Diet to help my fur grow. Please open your heart to me....I will love you forever...I promise! I have had all my shots, including Rabies, Bordetella and Corona-virus.
