Hello Westie Lovers....my name is Benjie. I am a neutered, adult male Westie who's owner must give me up. I have known my wonderful home for 4-5 years. My Mom's health is forcing us to sell our beautiful 4 bedroom house, with a big back yard and move to a one bedroom apartment. My Mom can no longer take me for walks or drive her car. She is relying on friends and relatives to help her with these tasks now. She is very sad to give me up, but knows it is the best thing. I am house trained, like to be wherever you are, like to ride in the car, can walk perfectly on a leash and I don't bark or dig either! I like lying in the back yard to sun myself. I can use a doggie door and am house trained. I am up to date with all my shots and have just been groomed so I am quite handsome. I like playing with my stuffed toys and sleeping in my doggie bed. But I sleep in my mom's bed too. My mom swears that I understand everything she says.....because I turn my head from side to side then you are talking to me. I need a home with lots of love that's because my mom was home with me all the time, no fleas please and continue on the special Westie Diet. I am very friendly toward other dogs, my tail wags when I see them. But I don't do so well with cats, especially if they run......I want to play 'tag' with them. I would love you always!

Benji and Sammy (another rescue)

A note from Benji's mom (12/03) "We adopted Benjie in March 2002. He and our other Westie celebrated their birthdays last week. They are now 11 and 13. I just wanted to let you know Benjie is still loving life. He and Sammy are best buddies. They curl up together to sleep. We are thrilled to have him as part of our family. Thank you"
