Bone Jour; My name is Roxxy. I am a 5 year old, spayed female purebred AKC registered Westie. I was given up by my original owners because they were afraid I would bite, scratch or hurt their grandbabies. I do get very nervous around wee-ones. I begin to bark and whine and become protective trying to keep the adults away from 'my' baby. Even when they put me in my crate I continue to howl and whine. So I guess I can't have any children in my new adoptive home. And, I like playing 'chase the cat', but my foster mom says that isn't nice.......aaaah nuts! I am normally a very sweet dog, who does get excitable when I am in new situations or getting ready for my three daily walks (that's where I play chase me, chase me with the cats), but I calm down quickly if you just rub my tummy . I like to go for walks, but actually haven't had much practice at that activity prior to my new foster home. So, I am re-learning not to pull on the leash in my excitement with new sights and smells.

I am crate trained, housetrained (and will let you know when I need to go out), have been obedience trained (but my previous owners didn't reinforce my commands much) and get along well with the other female and male Westies in my foster home. Sometimes I want them to play with me and I whine or bark to let them know.

I came with all of my medical records, a crate and other assorted doggie necessities. I am up to date with all my shots (DHPP/C, Rabies and Bordetella). I do not have skin problems, am recovering from a bad 'hair day' at the groomers and am currently being switched over to the Westie Diet. I don't mind being groomed or bathed. I would love an adoptive family where they have enough time to spend with me, giving me rides in the car, playing tug with me and my toys, walking me daily and ....oh yes....rubbing my tummy. Could I come to live with you? I will love you forever.
