We are just checking in to let you know, we
had a family meeting on Friday. Mac was unanimously
voted into the family. Lucy (our
existing princess Westie) and Mac are now the
best of friends. There is a lot of romping,
running and playing. Mac is such a
gentlemen, he usually lets Lucy win. Mac is
the gentler Westie in this household.
We are learning more each day about him.
Currently we have discovered, he doesn't listen
when in the yard and not on a leash. We
understand this is a 'selective hearing' trait
which Westies seem to have......<grin>.
We think he gets sensory overload outside.
Guess in his before life, he didn't have much
of a chance to explore stuff, cause he makes
up for it now! We will get professional
training, guess that goes for his Mom and Dad
too.
Many, many thanks to Westie Rescue of CA for
this excellent match. We love our 'expanded'
family. And, we think Mackie likes us too!
