OZMAN, the man...

Owner surrendered from a city building's parking lot in 110 degree heat! My family was evicted and needed to give me to someone fast or would end up at the high kill shelter. Thankfully, a nice caring person took me, my son and a female Westie. They contacted Westie Rescue of CA 'cause they had lots of cats. Oops, that just didn't work out for us OR the cats! A nice Westie Rescue of CA volunteer came, and we are now in a loving, calm foster volunteer home. My pedigree registration papers were surrendered, so they know my registered name and DOB: 11/03/2004. My nice Foster Mom, immediately gave me a medicated bath and blow dry. She saw I had major fleas and was itching and scratching. No medical information was given at surrender, so an area search was conducted via Vet offices for possible leads. Bingo, some records were found. But a Vet appointment was made due to noted neglect, my 'mop' of a coat, foxtails (noted in arm-pit and draining) and ear shaking. Vaccinations updated (Rabies-3 yr, DHPP, Bordetella), fecal (positive-being treated), heartworm test and microchipped. Made appointment to be altered.

My Foster Mom has already starting crate and house training, guess I missed those classes somehow. Didn't know ya could sleep in a nice clean crate at night and could go outside from a doggie door. It is all very new, but good. Huh, great to have scheduled walks, go to the park and play with toys. I'm really a good dog, but never had the opportunity to show anyone that.

When Vet records were found, it was discovered I was used as the 'stud' with the surrendered female Westie. Seems, female had a litter every 6 months, the puppy sale income was used to support the family.

My Foster Mom says, my forever adoption home should be an experienced Terrier home, with time and patience to continue crate and house training, able to provide daily exercise and maybe even take me to obedience training class. I promise to do my very best for ya, could you do the same? Gotta get in your application soon. Can hardly wait for my new owners to come and get me. Very grateful for all this love, OZMAN.
