McDuff - Adopted 12/09

Morgan & McDuff

December 2009

Well, we have a forever home again!  Thank you, thank you, thank you....Westie Rescue of CA & 7 Western States.  Our previous owner is looking down from heaven loving our new family and home.

Our adoptive Mom and Dad are very experienced Westie 'pair' owners.  They welcomed us with new travel crates, crate pads and car seats (My Buddy Lookout via our WRCA's website).  Wow we are a special pair..

We love our Mom, Barbara and Dad, John.  We actually get to travel cause they own (guess us now too!) homes.  We love this new adventure and thank you for helping us find a loving home again.

Woof and licks,
Morgann and McDuff

Original Story Below

McDuff  McDuff

I became an orphan when my Mom, a volunteer since 2002 with Westie Rescue of CA, was killed in a terrible traffic accident, on her way home to us at noon.

This tragic situation has left me, another female Westie, and a female Westie-mix without a home and loving owner. I was my owner's first Westie rescue. We're kinda like potato chips...can't have just ONE! Well, she did have a cat but that, of course, doesn't count when you are owned by a Westie! Adopted from Westie Rescue of CA, and it was love at first sight. Thought I was a beautiful boy, didn't care had a slight twist to my front paw. Said that's what rescue is all about! I loved her for that. See, nobody adopted me from the shelter and then a nice volunteer came from Westie Rescue. Said they would find me a great home! Tada...they sure did!!

No physical limitation problem; walk, jump, play, go up and down stairs and jump up on the furniture (shhhh!) all without a hitch. Recently had annual vaccinations (Rabies-3yr, DHPP, Bordetella), have a microchip and was found healthy. Just needed teeth cleaned, I'm 22.8 lbs and 7 years young. I can adapt and be comfortable in an apartment, condo or a house with fenced yard. Love going for walks, investigating, sniffing, playing with the basket of toys here in foster care and romping with my 2 other best buddies. Diet was changed to The Westie Diet. Boy that's good stuff! No need to wash the bowl when I get done. Like giving kisses, getting petted, one-on-one attention, or we could just hang out sunning on the deck. Am totally low key, sweet and a gentle sole. Okay my Foster Mom found out I know commands; sit, stay, come, lay down. Glad to show-off for a small cookie....okay? Like riding in the car, am a great traveler (Mom took us lots), crate trained and use a toy as a pillow when I snooze. So is this sounding like might be able to come live at your house? Mom would be so glad that one of her 'darlings' found a loving forever and forever home. Know she's waiting for us in heaven. Just me, a cutie-paw-tootie and totally charm'n, MC DUFF
