Matt now MacGyver

Here is now, thank you very much, handsome me (Matt, now MacGyver) and my forever Mom, Pam. Unfortunately, my Pops Gordon was camera shy. They promise to take some 'at home' photos very soon. MATT's my new name...

See, "hey you" just wasn't working for me! Have become the latest prize purebred street walk'n, filthy, flea infested, stray, just altered, male cutie paw-tootie! Who knew! They know my DOB 03.02.2008, cause had an unregistered microchip. Probably a good thing, cause am getting ready for my new home, last one was definitely.....well defective! The nice woman who found me, took me to the veterinarian for chip implant scanning, walked me all over the neighborhood where found and has gone back daily to see if fliers were posted. Westie Rescue of CA placed a Found Dog advertisement in the newspaper. Nope, am definitely 'homeless'. Tisk, tisk...even if owner was found wouldn't recognize me! Cause soon as my 'paws' hit foster care, they hit the hydro tub. Shoot didn't even get a proper introduction to the other fostered Westies here! Yep was a street vagabond, think the term was 'pig pen' that was whispered about. The count was 42 fleas, they just continued falling off. Glad that is over, yikes, prune paws here.

Yahzoo...now am sleeping in my own clean crate, not itching and scratching as much and really enjoying my walking routine and exercise. Both ears had major infections, were flushed and medication is being instilled daily. Oops, guess I got tape worms from all those fleas. Have been wormed, all vaccinations (Rabies-3 yr, DHPP, Bordetella), my 'Elvira' toenails were 'weed' whacked and got a new glam do. Viola, Cutie Paw-tootie!!. On flea medication, dah that's a no brainer. Holy Milk Bones!!! Is that me in the mirror? Working so very hard on my house training, doing good since my neuter and wayward days of street abandonment lifting gone bye-bye. Have an 'inside bark' now, huh...who knew!

Here's what these folks are thinking is needed for my ideal forever home; a totally fenced yard, time for daily exercise and play, continue The Westie Diet (clearing up skin issues and itchies) and promise to accompany me to basic obedience classes. We will be star pupils...promise! Continue crate training for a few weeks, that will establish good base for house training. Ya, know still have that male testosterone, but that will go away in 4-6 weeks. So can I come to live with you? Can come if you promise to keep me flea free and continue feeding The Westie Diet? OK, am definitely your fur baby. Like being next to ya, tummy rubs and watching TV cartoons. Haven't tried the Starbucks on Sunday with a cute dog routine...but am up for it! Get in your application via US Mail. And the name is spelled..M - A - T - T.
Yep ya know the cute one! Waiting for ya, MATT.
