Original Story Below

Macy

My new pretty name is....MACY...

Was found wandering abandoned in a field next to a horse park. It was pouring rain, soaked, matted, limping, emaciated and confused about what to do next A good Samaritan scooped me up and put me in the truck,. I was very grateful to be out of the rain and with someone who loved dogs. Even covered me with a jacket to stop my shivering. My 'aaah-ha' moment was then I got some lunch meat out of a really good sandwich. Life is looking up, whew thankfully!

Took me to a local Vet to see if there was a microchip (none), no collar, no tags guess forgot to get my passport papers. So, placed a 'found dog' ad in the local newspaper, called the area shelters/dog pounds letting them know I was found, even put up fliers and still no one wanted me! I truly was abandoned, but was given the promise things would be better. My finder couldn't keep me, so contacted the nice folks at Westie Rescue of CA.

They took me to a groomer, a Veterinarian for exam, vaccinations and to be spay/altered. Now have shots (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped and wormed. Had to cut away the tangles and mats to treat my paw that had a big cactus sticker in it. Medication on and now all better....no limp.

So here is what they have discovered about tiny me, am definitely a sweet, tiny (13 lbs), female Westie. The Vet estimates my age at 2 years old. I like my crate/kennel, cause I am not supposed to jump until my surgery is better. Walks well on a leash, shy at first, but like tummy rubs and one-on-one attention. Get along with both males and females, like to play with toys. I like the new food, that hopefully will help me put on weight.....The Westie Diet. Didn't know food could be that good.....yum-oh!

My ideal home would be one with a fenced yard, time to give me the daily exercise, take me to basic obedience training classes, and give me lots of love. I kinda had a hard journey, to find these great Westie Rescue folks.....so need a calm, loving home where I know I am staying forever! Are you that loving home? Well, then mail your application. I would like to have my own home very soon....these kind folks seem to think that is possible with your help. Please help me find my forever home.

Sign me, lots of love to give...MACY.
