KITSON - now Bentley - Adopted October 2009
Thank you so
much Bridget (my Foster Mom) and Westie Rescue of CA,
My new Mom, Linda and Dad, Wally are a little camera shy. We are taking
some much needed 'getting to know me' time in my new mountain lakeside vacation
home (listen to me....shelter dog to 'homes'). We travel in 'my' RV that
has a special secure dog seat that allows me to see out the big front window.
We'll be back to our 'home' later this year. So, we'll get you a picture
then...maybe when my first visit with Santa comes around. Boy, have I
had to wait a long time. Thank you again for finding my absolutely perfect
forever home. Enjoying
life (finally), KITSON, now Bentley
Original Story Below
Kitson

KITSON'S my new name...
My new friends just call me KIT. Fits cause I'm a little guy, only 13 lbs. My Foster Mom promises to fatten me up. Little fella was a stray in a high kill shelter. No owner came, he was in distress, so a great Westie Rescue of CA foster care volunteer came and whisked me away. Was a mess, immediately got a medicated bath, scrubbed with a natural bristle brush, necessary to help slough off smelly skin, fleas and ticks! Oh, my! Did well in the bath, seemed to know it was ALL good. Even the blow dry afterwords, huh, had to smell the dryer to check it out! Once done, wiggled and scrubbed all over the floor (see photo below).

I've been to a caring Vet (Rabies- 3 yr, DHPP, Bordetella), have microchip, was wormed (oops, treated for Giardia), and found to be healthy but thin.
My Foster Mom and Dad say am the best of both worlds: look like a cute puppy due to small size but actually guessing age at 1.5 - 2 yrs old. Yahoo, already house and crate trained, loves to snuggle in the crate's bedding. Became a very good eater...'cause of the The Westie Diet! Walks to the local park and watches the kids play.
Like riding in the car and even get to go to to the office with my Foster Mom and Dad. It's hard work, 'cause I'm the professional greeter. It's very important job, my Foster Mom says so! Foster home has other Westies, must like me 'cause they don't mind my spirited romps or bursts of enthusiasm. Probably 'cause I'm so cute and all! My forever home should have lots of time to love me, give daily exercise and maybe could go to a basic obedience class or two. If you have an office that allows dogs to visit, could help out. Can bring my cuteness to your home very soon. Ya need to get in an application. I'll just continue being my cute self till they find a great home.
Bring it on, I'm ready for another adventure, KIT and Kaboodle.
