Original Story Below

PAYTON.... at your service Westie Folks

I was just scooped up from an owner, who my foster Mum, mumbled something to the effect.....clueless! I am an AKC Registered male, purebred Westie who was just altered, have shots (Rabies-3 year, DHPP, Bordetella), teeth cleaned (2 rotten/cracked teeth pulled), microchipped, heartworm tested and parasite wormed. I am being changed over to The Westie Diet (on our website below), and I now like dinner time! Yum! I have been given an 'Extreme Makeover' because my coat was dry, brittle (due to improper diet and weather) and damaged from staying outside all the time. Gosh, I can not believe it's me looking back in the mirror.....huh, look pretty darn good too!

My owner allowed months of uncleared feces, where I was kept, to attract flies. Those flies started biting the tips of my ears, they became bloody and infected. My front feet had open oozing bloody sores as well. I was taken to the Veterinarian immediately, for appropriate care and medication. My volunteer foster Mom, is giving me antibiotics, medicated shampoo baths and placing topical cream on my feet. My ears are so much better, they are not bleeding. My feet are healing up because my feet are kept clean, dry and medicated. My toenails were about 2 inches long. It was a problem to walk..sometimes I had to hold up my right foot and hop. While being neutered, the Vet cut and cauterize my toenails. The nail-quick had grown inappropriate due to no exercise, walks and Vet /grooming care. I like riding in the car in a crate and my daily long walks. I play with toys and other female Westies here at my foster home. Because I was just neutered, I do better with male dogs at a distance.

As these nice folks know more about me they will post. I am a calm lovable cuddle bug....I like being next to you. Thanks for reading my story.....I want my very own family and back yard. Is that okay with you? I will just wait here with my new collar and leash. I do have a new ball I would like to bring with me too!

Just sign me wagg'n bottom....PAYTON
