Olivia (now Livee)

New owners Hank and Joan with Westie Brother Max

Original Story Below

My Pretty New Name Is..OLIVIA....you can call me....LIVEE.

I was dumped and wandering in a busy LA neighborhood. Then the 'dog napper' rounded me up and took me to the local animal shelter. Oops, they found I had a microchip, but through investigation it had not been registered by my owner. And, while I waited for my owner to find me, for nearly a month, the shelter folks were trying to get the microchip manufacture or implanter to sign off on my ownership. Gosh, all I wanted was to go home. Kinda like E. T. .....could I just phone home please? But while in the shelter, was in the medical section, cause I was in pretty bad shape and lack of owner responsibility was evident. Both eyes were infected, was covered in ticks, thought to have had puppies within last 3 months....so I guess I wasn't going back to my old home.! Yeah!!! Fine with me, just get me outa here! Whew, it was Westie Rescue of CA to the rescue!!! I love these kind folks, knew it the first time I saw my very own personal rescuer volunteer. She told me I was very special and they would take good care of me! Ya know what I believe her.

So, here is what they know; purebred (but I forgot my pedigree paperwork when I went travel'n), female, just spay/altered, age estimate 2 years, small 14 lbs old, microchip wait'n for owner registration and had shots (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella). Oooh, am eating this amazing food, The Westie Diet...that's for my red itchy skin. My foster Mum couldn't stand the just out-of-the-shelter smell, so she gave me a medicated bath, viola smell so pretty and feel even better. Also, have Frontline-Plus on now to protect me from those pesky ticks and fleas, My foster Mum took me to the Vet immediately from the shelter, My ears had to be flushed and cleaned . I also had a skin scraping (neg) and a eye tear test. They gave her antibiotics which should clear up my ears, eyes and skin (ticks and fleas)...yep, I am on the mend. Think now is the time to let my future forever home know....yo people I am ready!!!!

I can use a doggie door, ride in the car great, sleep in a crate/kennel at night, am a very sweet, loving and gentle little girl. I am learning to play with the two male Westies at my foster Mums. Okay, just one thing, about those toys with squeakers? Well I found my job...yep, I tear the toy apart until I find the squeaker and kill it! Tada!!! I have the true heart of a Terrier. Would like a fenced back yard where I can explore and lay in the sun, daily exercise and scheduled walks, and maybe another small dog to play with too. Big order, for such a small little girl. Would ya get in your application so I can go home with you? They gave me a pretty Westie collar and leash, some new toys and a ball . I'll round them up when I go home with you.

Please promise to take me and love me forever........

Wiggles and Wags, OLIVIA.
