BRYCE

See the full story, pictures and the latest news about Bryce on our home page.

WE ARE DOING MAJOR FUND RAISING FOR THE TWO EAR SURGERIES NECESSARY FOR THIS RESCUE. THE SURGERIES ARE CALLED T.E.C.A. (Total Ear Canal Ablation). Both ears must have surgery.

This once beautiful and still deserving Westie female was literally 'DUMPED' on our rescue by the elderly owner's family members. BRYCE came wearing an Elizabethan collar/cone on her head. And we understand why! After taking her to our Veterinarian for this ongoing condition we were devastated at the condition and what it will take to get her well again. Discovered in her medical history, she suffered for many years before having an abscess burst back in 12/2013. Poor thing was hospitalized for 11 days and due to no follow through on medication, hands-on care, still has an active draining infection on the side of her face cheek.

Sadly, her condition was preventable early on, but neither the Dementia owner nor family stepped in to get her the appropriate veterinary care before it got this bad. BRYCE is suffering from what is commonly called 'Cauliflower Ear' or in humans known as 'Boxer's Ears'. She must have this necessary and expensive operation on both ears.

PLEASE MAKE A DONATION TOWARD BRYCE'S MEDICAL AND AFTER CARE. We are told based upon the 'specialty' Veterinarian surgery required to expect the cost to be in the range of $3,500 per ear!!!
