Penelope

Penelope aka Penny

Hi Penelope here....but get called to dinner by PENNY.

My owners are divorcing. Neither my Pops or Mom could take me, or the 4 other dogs. So they called Westie Rescue of CA & 7 Western States. A nice lady volunteer picked me up at Dad's work and we went to her mini-ranch. There are Scotties and Westies here...oh, boy playmates. Lot's of room to roam around and investigate that wood pile and lizards.

Enough about them, let's talk about adorable me. A cute purebred, altered, female Westie who's birthday is 02.01.2005. All my vaccinations are current; Rabies-3 yr, DHPP, Corona, Bordetella, wormed and microchipped. Am house and crate trained, can use the doggie door, like the patio for sunning, like rides in the car, going on long walks (get two daily), playing with all the stuffed toys and playing chase with the other dogs. My groomer got carried away with the clippers, so my 'do' is still growing out. Good thing fur grows.

Guess my ideal home would be a retired person or couple that are experienced Terrier folks, with loads of 'Penny time' available. I kinda 'hog' the spotlight, so maybe being the one and only dog in your home would be a good thing. Not your couch potato type, like root'n through the big toy basket, then running around the house with them in my mouth, tossing them in the air and playing catch. Of course, chasing the ball when thrown...can't be bothered to bring it back. My Foster Mom has given me the distinguished 'Rat Patrol Badge'. Not that there ARE any you understand....just like investigating! A fenced back yard would be a good thing and would keep me entertained patrolling the perimeter. Learned 'sit' command for a treat in foster care, need to expand my repertoire. Obedience classes would be fun with my new owner. Am a typical, Westie in all aspects, so could I be your Westie? I want loving pats and tummy rubs from my owner.....could ya consider me? Get in that application. Will bring my charming Terrier self to ya for the Howl-a-Days.....okay? Here's looking for you, PENNY.
